  Several years ago, the phone companies have dug up the pavement and put a metal box in the ground. The tarmac they put around the box initially was temporary and they never returned to completed the job. Now over the years the tarmac as deteriorated, fallen out and sunk. The meal edges and corners of the box are now exposed and is a trip hazard for anyone using the pavement. The pavement is a very popular walkway particularly with children on scooters, prams and people with wheelchairs. I have recently spoken to a streetworks Inspector who was in the Close doing an inspection who agreed that it was a trip hazard. Unfortunately, the 2 year period to request the phone companies to fix the issue has expired... /
