A large dead ash tree has fallen very close to the road and is propped up against another roadside tree. The dead ash could fall at any time and block the access road. The dead tree is on Bagpath Common which has no legal owner, but GCC Highways has taken responsibility for ash trees threatening the highway.

A utilities company has been replacing gas pipes in the area and dug a trench to put the new pipes in but in doing so they took out an edging stone that defines the end of Old Hill and the main road but instead of reinstating the stone they have thrown it on the side of the road and put tarmac across the trench instead of doing a proper reinstatement. Now the tarmac is coming apart and causing problems for motorists. The company who filling the tarmac should be told to comeback and put the stone back and tarmac the road properly as what they have done is a sloppy job.

Gate is securely chained by the gate latch unable to open. The hinge end is broken and barbed wired shut. Gate is leaning at an angle making it extremely hard to climb over. I am 65 years old. I have used this gate before and it was never illegally chained shut.
