A diseased and dying horse chestnut tree was removed from this tree pit in the pavement about 2 years ago (and perhaps longer). The Council has consistently stated that a replacement tree will be planted in the next tree planting season. However, whereas other replacement trees (Holm Oaks) have been planted where other horse chestnut trees have had to be removed, no replacement tree has been planted in this location. The tree pit has deteriorated in condition and was recently repaired but not very well as the attached photographs show. So, could you please satisfactorily repair the tree pit and plant a replacement tree in this pit so it does not continue to deteriorate. Thank you.
