Flooding

Good morning. I have just walked from Longfields onto Launton Road to Joblings garage and because the road is flooded the passing cars have soaked me from feet to waist. I had a choice walk on the boggy grass verge or brave the pavement, big mistake should have chosen the verge as I was not able to walk quick enough to beat the traffic. I know this has been a problem for years so may I suggest instead of the grass verge along there a pavement might be an answer, we could then walk higher up the path. I know the grass softens the outlook and I champion it but not in this case.
