Flooding in heavy rain AGAIN

I first notified FMS in February 2026 that this gulley on the corner of Bath St / Letcombe Avenue was blocked as causes problems fro pedestrians and cyclists. I had a notification that this had been dealt with in April 2026, which was not true as the road still causes problems in rainfall. Currently the water runs down Bath St for about 200m to the next gulley. What is the point of reporting this on this site if nothing gets done and the issue is closed!!

  • Thank you for your report. Oxfordshire County Council is responsible for maintaining approximately 120,000 gullies on the highway network. Gullies are cleaned in accordance with the County Council’s maintenance policy, and we operate a targeting program with a higher frequency of cleaning in areas at risk of flooding. This gulley was inspected on the 17/03/2026 and was cleaned and was fully operational on leaving
