Hi GCC Just another note to say this road is becoming an assault course to navigate with a pram or wheelchair. I watched a young lady this morning trying to navigate around the parked car on the pavement having to push pram on to the road. While doing so a swung around from Broomhouse Crescent (no give way marked in the road) where the young lady and her pram almost collided with the car. Could you please issue or instruct the factor to issue notices regarding pavement parking and the dangers it is causing. Also it would be good to have a give way road marking at the start of Broomhouse Crescent off of Baillieston Road and Calderpark Road.

Diweddariadau

  • Unfortunately residents continue to park on the pavements throughout the street causing a high risk of injury to pedestrians.

Also the continued conflict between car users and parked cars on Calderpark Road at the Black bear restaurant. Several residents have had confrontations with other car users and have witnessed physical and verbal abuse regarding this part of the road. This has been reported several times by residents. It is only a matter of time before we have a serious incident! It is a simple fix however! Double yellow lines at the restaurant side of the road (allows visibility when patrons leave the restaurant) and no parking, no loading and no waiting at anytime 7 days and have it monitored for a few weeks. Those flouting the parking restrictions will soon refrain from continuing and will be a warning to others
