Safety concern: unstable retaining wall on Leyfield Road pavement

Adroddwyd drwy iOS yn y categori Pavements/footpaths gan David Brookes-Lennon am 14:26, Dydd Iau 5 Mawrth 2026

Anfon at Liverpool City Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 9052320.

Dear Highways Team, I wanted to report a safety concern regarding the damaged retaining wall on the public verge outside the Bull Dog Pub, 142 Leyfield Road, West Derby, L12 9HB. The low brick retaining wall along the edge of the raised grass verge has become significantly damaged, with a number of bricks now loose or already fallen onto the pavement. Several sections of the wall appear unstable and partially collapsed. Loose bricks are currently present on the footpath and there is a clear risk that further bricks could become dislodged. As this is directly alongside a public pavement used by pedestrians, the condition of the wall presents a clear trip and safety hazard. I have taken photographs of the damage which show the current condition of the wall and the loose bricks on the pavement. Given the current state of the structure, it would be appreciated if the council could inspect the wall and arrange for it to be made safe before the damage worsens or someone is injured. Many thanks for your attention to this matter. Kind regards, David Brookes-Lennon
