Road surface and subbase failing

The road surface is breaking up along an extensive area at least 5-10m long. The surface issues appear to be related to a deeper failure of the road structure as this same area was extensively patched a couple of years ago but is already in a worse condition than it was before the repair.

In wet conditions the passage of heavy vehicles causes mud from the subgrade to be pumped out to the surface, risking clogging drains. In dry conditions the area is incredibly dusty, leaving cars and gardens and house windows dirty.

Diweddariadau

  • Some attempt has been made to apply a temporary patch, which has alleviated the issue in the short term but will last days rather than months. The surface immediately adjacent to the patch is already developing into a new pothole. A proper fix is still needed.
