Anfon at Oxfordshire County Council 1 munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 8680722.

There are multiple potholes in this location. The road is dangerous to anyone on a bike or cycle as they could easily be thrown from their bike into the path of a car.

  • The surface of the road here has been patched multiple times. It is now a complete mess as few of the patches were sealed at the edges and are breaking up. Others were proud of the prevailing surface. The result is a surface which wrecks alloy wheels unless driven over at lenn than 30 MPH. Motorists have discovered that taking to the centre of the road is the only safe path to avoid damage to alloy wheels. The result is there is a battle for the crown of the road with commercial vehicles in particular forcing oncoming cars to stop as the other drivers careers down the middle. It has become a recipe for a head on collision. How cyclists cope with the surface I do not know. This is actually a marked as a Oxfordshire cycle route at the Greenfields end of the road

  • I'm now having to slow down to 10 mph on a 30 mph road for safety reasons, and to avoid damage to my vehicle.

  • Graham Membery refers to it as a 30MPH road. It is in fact a 60MPH speed limit which is why the surface is likely to cause allow wheels to buckle should you be unaware of this stretch of appalling road surface. I also question the economics of multiple visits to do repairs. It also seems foolish while doing repairs to ignore the smaller potholes as they don't yet meet the criteria to be repaired. But then have to do a further visit a few weeks later because those smaller potholes have grown.

  • This road surface has failed. It has been in this state for at least 12 months. It has had countless patch repairs which have never lasted. This road is an unrestricted carriageway therefore 60mph is applicable for many that use this road. I have to slow to a crawling pace to go over this on a twice daily basis. You are also unable to avoid any of this due to the significant amount of potholes.

  • These potholes caused a serious accident on 16th May. One lady suffered serious head injuries and another a badly broken arm and elbow requiring surgery. These potholes have clearly been reported many times and nothing has been done. Fortunately no one was killed this time, but the NHS (tax payers) and their employers pick up the bill. Please get it fixed before an even more serious accident
