A large and deep pothole developed on Old Audlett Drive in Abingdon at the junction with Barton Lane. Pothole is at least 1.2m in length, by 40cm wide, and maybe in parts up to 10cm deep. Needs urgent attention as is lethal for cyclists.

  • Roughly 4pm on Sunday. Was passing through, couldn’t stop and take picture. Caused puncture which I am now booking to get renewed. Cannot be sure exact but certainly in that region.

    Hole still there on 19th December 25, now larger and deeper and totally invisible when flooded on the 18th December. Very dangerous to all road users, additionally the infill debris is scattered across the carriageway following the rain.

  • I agree with the last message. Yesterday the pothole was invisible due to the flood waters, but I avoided it as I reported it and was avoiding it. I saw the car in front of me end up dramatically putting both front and back wheels suddenly into the increasing deep pothole. Needs increasingly URGENT repair.
