National speed limit sign missing

Whilst traveling on A43 from stamford to wothorpe, speed changes from 30 to 40. There should be a national speed limit sign after but it is missing travelling up the hill past the A1 junction towards Easton on the hill. This is causing major confusion to non locals as the sign is missing completely. (The national speed limit is clear going down the hill from Easton on the hill towards stamford on the A43) The change of speed limit on a small stretch of this road happened without warning a few months ago, but the signage is not correct.
