Drain doesn't drain

Hello, Thames Water forwarded me to you. I need some help with rain and standing water next to my c1900 house in Abingdon, 75 Radley Road, OX14 3PM. If you look at my address on google maps (https://maps.app.goo.gl/ UYPq7sZpLVUrEm9r5) you sill see the my house is on a Radley Road, with a road next to it, along the side. On this side road, rainwater collects against my house and doesn't drain. There seems to be a drain where the water collects, but as it doesn't drain, I had it checked professionally. The inspector told me that the drain isn't connected to anything. I would appreciate your advice on how best to manage this. Thank you.
