Double yellow lines were installed here a couple of years ago, but they are not being adhered to and cars are still parked dangerously, which will potentially cause an accident- there have been many near misses, especially on the blind corner where cars are forced to drive onto the opposite lane into oncoming traffic.

Would it be possible to advise why these double yellows are not being policed please? There are between 4 and 6 cars parked on these lines at any one time. Thanks

    •Faulty temporary or permanent traffic lights (i.e. stuck on red)
    •Exposed cables
    •Multiple street lighting faults

  • This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.

    If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.

    In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

    An update on the issue will be provided.
