All the signage on the A508 as it crosses the A14 is either totally obscured by vegetation or so covered in green mould that it is impossible to read in poor light. The problem extends from Kelmarsh in the north to the Haselbech turn to the south.
The same problem exists on the slip roads to the A508. For example it is not possible to see the sign for Maidwell when exiting the A14 from the east.
Further, because of the overhanging vegetation there is no safe pedestrian route between Maidwell and Kelmarsh.

Investigation: Completed (Defect Found) - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 59 days.
