Overhanging trees en route to Chelsfield Park Hospital

Drivers have reported the road into Chelsfield Park Hospital is becoming very problematic with overhanging trees, while we know this is not the responsibility of the hospital, would it be possible the hospital reach out to the local council & ask for the pruning of these trees. As mentioned on todays call, a lot of our drivers now have their new trucks, so are very aware of any potential scratches/damage to them. Of course it goes without saying, the trailers will also be at risk of getting scratched as they drive through.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. Works have been raised with traffic management included for the contractor to lift low canopies for this section of the road which has been issued to the contractor for completion.

  • Thank you for your enquiry. The works have unfortunately been delayed, the contractor will schedule in the works at a suitably appropriate time during the day when traffic has quietened down using traffic management (traffic lights).

  • Thank you for your continued patience. A site visit was undertaken last week with the contractor to discuss the scope of works required. The contractor has scheduled in the works to be completed in the next couple of weeks.
