Marsland road is a liability

Adroddwyd drwy desktop yn y categori A pothole in road yn ddienw am 12:55, Maw 8 Gorffennaf 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Anfon at Gloucestershire County Council 1 munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 7827323.

Seacombe Road and Lewis Road were resurfaced so why wasn't Marsland Road? The patchwork done on this road is crumbling and drivers are constantly having to dodge more issues on this road as time goes on. Please treat this as an urgent request as this is a key road for the local area that will cause damage to vehicles. Enough with the patches! Needs full resurfacing

Diweddariadau

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.

On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.

Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.

  • This pothole report has now been passed to the Safety Inspection Team for assessment.

A safety inspector will make an assessment of the work needed and they will consider a number of factors, including the flow of traffic and the size of the pothole.

If repair work is required, the pothole will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible. We aim to complete the repair work within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

An update on the outcome of the safety inspection will be provided.
