Bridge collapsed with dangerous hole in trackway

There is a hole all the way through the bridge down to the river/ ditch It is on the bridle way that is also used by anglers’s cars, on the rhs if coming towards Sherborne away from great barrington. It is next to the last tiny clump of trees on the right alongside the stream on the flat bit of path. A child could easily fall in. A car will fall through if it drives over.

This report has now been passed to the Highways team for assessment.
If repair work is required, it will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
