Currently the tree only has two short posts supporting it. When the council last came out they only put one rope on the tree which is insufficient. It needs 3 taller posts installed as it is growing well and need three rope ties to stabilise it and stop it pitching towards the road.

  • Either the council doesn't know these contractors are wasting tax payers money or you don't care but frankly what has been done is pathetic. The contractor has attended the site and has not added a 3rd stake to stop the tree blowing towards the road. They have just cut the rope off that I installed (because last time your contractor only put 1 tie on despite there being two support poles) and replaced it with an arguably weaker tie. They have added no value what so ever. This tree needs a 3rd stake to stop it blowing towards the road in heavy winds and really it needs taller stakes as the tree has put more height on and the current stakes are not quite tall enough any more.
