Blockage under the road bridge.

There is a large tree wedged under the road bridge. Its branches stick out on the downstream side and it has a large root mat blocking the flow. The river is being blocked and this could cause flooding above the bridge and possibly damage to the bridge itself. I reported this to the EA on 2nd Jan ref 02338612. It happened in storm Darragh. The tree needs to be removed before a complete dam builds up. It looks like a willow and it is now taking root and growing.

Another month gone by and the tree and blockage are still expanding under the bridge. It's a perfect time to remove it as the water level is very low at the moment. This is often not the case and normal levels will make the job a lot more difficult.
