Blocked drains

There are 7 drains starting at the Harborough Road sign at this point going towards Market Harborough, 5 of them are blocked (STILL) The problem with blocked drains on this stretch of road was reported a year ago, a problem was apparently identified actions sanctioned, then signed off on the website as "repair completed" These drains are STILL BLOCKED!! , Nothing has been done to clean them and as a consequence rain water flows down Harborough Road towards The Green every time we have heavy rain. Two working drains out of seven is frankly unacceptable and something needs to be done immediately to sort this issue out , as it has been highlighted before!!!

A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the defect meets the requirement for a Priority 4 repair. We will schedule a repair to be completed within 26 weeks. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 repair is 52 days.

Disgusting that blocked drains potentially causing flooding to occur have a repair schedule of 26 WEEKS to be cleared.

Works order raised , Expected completion by 11th December 2025. That's an absolutely ridiculous time scale to "clean" blocked drains . If in the meantime properties are flooded following a period of heavy rain and the drains not being cleared then I expect the local council to take full responsibility and accept liability for damage caused.
