There is a Right Of Way footpath leading south from Leaze Farm to the Thames Path that is shown on OS maps and your definitive map. My wife & I were walking along the Thames Path on Sunday, looking for this RoW footpath northwards for a short cut back to Lechlade. We knew this RoW exists but there is a continuous livestock agricultural fence consisting of a simple post and wire that runs all along the southern boundary of this field.
There needs to be a gate or break in the fencing to indicate where the RoW path lies and to allow access for the public.
Without wishing to risk trespassing on farmland, we were forced to walk south via Buscot Church and make our way along the busy A417 Lechlade Road towards St John’s Priory. This was obviously at greater safety risk and out of our way.
As we were tourist visitors to the area I have no idea how long this footpath has been obstructed.
