Dangerously deep hole - maybe a missing drain cover

On the south bound side of Watlington Road in Shirburn (near the 30 mph de-restriction) there is a very dangerous and very deep maybe squarish-looking hole. It is about a foot square, maybe more, and could be a drain missing its cover. Oncoming headlights make it difficult to see: cars in front that hit it then veer towards oncoming traffic or the hedge. A motorbike rider would be killed. It's too dangerous to stop here and take photos unless you've smashed your vehicle.

  • This has not yet been attended to. Agree with previous report. Can't stop here but it appears very deep and about 30cm square. Is it my bad luck but every time I drive here I am forced to hit this pothole because of oncoming traffic. Please repair before an accident happens.

  • The pothole is dire and I fear breaking my newly repaired front suspension. Cannot swerve to avoid it with busy oncoming traffic. Slightly blind so you hit it before you have time to react. LHS heading south.
