Cross lane just before small bridge

Dear Council Highways Department,
I am writing to formally report a severe pothole on Cross lane near the small bridge, which has caused significant damage to my vehicle. This pothole has been present for several months without repair, despite its size and potential danger to road users.
On 28/01/2025, while driving along this road, my car suffered damage due to the pothole, resulting in a damaged tyre, wheel alignment issues and wheel damage. As a result, I had to take my vehicle for urgent repairs, incurring unexpected costs.
I kindly request that the council take responsibility for this issue and compensate me for the repair costs, as the damage was directly caused by the failure to maintain the road. Additionally, I urge you to take immediate action to repair the pothole to prevent further damage or potential accidents.
