Someone needs to carry out a full inspection of these railings. Top Mgt Tip: There's a council depot IN the park.
After many years of neglect (A814 vehicle fume rotted & no maintenance whatsoever) the railings are now increasingly dangerous - corroded down to sharp points, rusty as get out, gappy in places - an accident in the waiting.
We need a remedial plan of action for 2025.

I see some 'crime scene' tape has gone up on at least one railing panel. Good. Let's see now how long it takes to actually repair the long-neglected railing...

Today, 2 x High Vizzers out working their way along the railings, pulling and kicking to check. Each defect being marked with a slice of Crime Scene tape. Progress it seems! (Why no one in NRS systematically and periodically checked same over the last 8 years is the big Q. Or anyone else (Friends of / Community Trust / WCC / Councillors et al) noticed or bothered reporting.

98 sections of the railings have now been flagged for repair work. Yup, 98. And they still managed to miss 2. Watch this space...
