Road signage - change in speed limit 30 mph > 20 mph.

Road signage - change in speed limit 30 mph > 20 mph. St Johns Lane BS3. Can you confirm when this change came in and re the static camera by Bells Tools. This has been a 30 mph zone for years and has now changed!! Whilst there are the repeater signs in place now there has been no warning i.e change in speed limit ahead of the change and no markings to indicate 20 mph on the road tarmac itself. This is causing concern and potential fines as the clarity / change here is lacking. Please advise

  • Was an answer provided by BCC to this question? As I would like to know the date the reduced speed limit was implemented, for the same points in the question above.

  • Can we have an answer please? It’s been 2 months since the original question was asked, and now this has been highlighted on BBC news. Understandable to reduce speed limit in the area near a school, but why were there no signed erected to inform motorists of speed limit change???

  • It's a shame there are no penalties for the lack of response. The lack of signage is laughable. 2000 plus people have been fined so far in the space of 10 weeks. Likely that they were unaware of the change like the rest of us. Somebody in the Council needs to come forward and admit they got this one wrong but I think we will be waiting a lot longer than 2 months before that happens.
