Hedge cuttings on the road and blocking 5 drains

The drains are located on Ruscombe Road at Humphreys End and along the lane leading to More Hall. GL66EN This is an ongoing issue and there have been occasions where we have not been able to access our vehicles in the layby. It is a frequently used route for children walking to school and is often impassable on foot.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
