Faded markings at crossroads - dangerous accident spot

Since the traffic lights at the Globe roundabout, we have had numerous accidents along this road this week including one just today where drivers are using it as a cut through and are unfamiliar with the roads. One of the problems is the faded road markings at this crossroads - I have personally witnessed just today a car travelling at speed going straight across without slowing down where they should have given way. There are no give way signs, just white lines on the junction which cannot be seen anymore due to fading and mud. Something needs to be done asap.

  • Another bad accident has since occurred at this crossroads since I reported it. I believe the police have or will also be reporting how dangerous this crossroads is. We not only need white lines repainting, we also desperately need Give Way and slow signs too.

  • Glad action is scheduled but please try and resolve this before more traffic lights are up in Marksbury as they are doing more work from 18/11 for over a week which will again push traffic up through the lanes meaning more accidents and more dangers for those on foot who use the lanes. Do you have a date in the diary for the work?
