The drains are blocked causing water to run across the road, which on frosty nights freezes over.

The drains on Park End between the turning to Water Lane Farm and Puckshole are blocked. There is a spring line here which runs most of the time and when the drain is blocked the road can freeze over in cold weather.It has been blocked for nearly a fortnight.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.
Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.
