Discharge of water from Private Land onto Public Highway

Water flooding into road in small streams through kerb sides on west of road causing extensive pools all along stretch from mellors garage to cornhill lane. Been caused by landowner who renewed old land ditch drain a few months ago. The ditch comes in at 90degrees (blue line on map) and it was scoured out and a large blue plastic piping trenched-in, so now water drains off entire field to west of road into road. Flooding is rapidly destroying road surface and frosts will make it a much worse and expensive area to repair.

Water running directly from drainage ditch directly on to the road and has been since October. This was taken on 27 January 2025.

Still an issue, what’s the update OCC? There’s going to be a fatality soon due to such poor maintained road conditions here as well as the very well known flooding issues.
