Multiple collisions and scrapes: no road markings, signs or speed restrictions to indicate that its single file

Victoria Street narrows, from 2 cars being able to pass each other to only 1 car, at the intersection with George Court and continuing down Victoria Street to St Mary's Street. I have now seen multiple collisions with cars colliding into the neighbouring cottages as a result as they try and reverse and manoeuvre round each other in this very tight stretch of the road which is only single file but is not clear as there are no signs or markings. Cars have collided into both 1 George Court and Loveview Cottage as a result. There have also been several collisions between cars at the bottom of Victoria Street turning onto St Marys Street. Is there any way of making this stretch of the road safer for the cars, pedestrians and the cottages on this road? Either a 1 way street, or a right of way for cars to wait, or just better signage or warnings or a speed restriction?
