Flooding due to blocked drains, gulleys and ditches impacting the roadway between the Steeds Farm development on Coxwell Road Faringdon and the entrance to Great Coxwell village Oxfordshire.

My previous report on this matter had been responded to with regards to a Highways department inspection that I witnessed in place on this Tuesday 24th September 2024. On discussion with the Highways Officer in place at the time, it was apparent that the appropriate markings that are now in place are on the basis of 'works to be undertaken' and in order to resolve the flooding that has been identified as clearly due to delayed action in clearing the drains, gulley's and ditches in this area. As such, the delay in carrying out the required works would appear to have more to do with a 'neglect' of appropriate works and the responsibility for Oxfordshire County Council to have resolved these issues within the timeframe of their existence over several years? I find it unacceptable and indeed quite wrong, to then have received a message in my inbox as of yesterday to suggest that these matters have been 'Fixed', and when in fact there has been no remedial or realistic undertaking to resolve what I and indeed others have reported over the past several weeks. Perhaps you could reasonably inform me as to what actions and progress path will be put into place in order that these matters might indeed be 'Fixed', at some point in time.
