Gully and drains at bottom of Tabernacle Lane and outside 54 Kingscourt Lane need cleaning out following being blocked with debris, leaves etc washed down Tabernacle Lane

Adroddwyd drwy desktop yn y categori The drain is blocked yn ddienw am 16:07, Maw 10 Medi 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Anfon at Gloucestershire County Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 6458288.

Drainage channel and drain at bottom of Tabernacle Lane and the drain in road outside 54Kingscourt Lane have been blocked by debris - falling leaves, stones etc which spread across the lane and the pavement and become compacted resulting in the rainwater gushing down Tabernacle Lane being diverted down onto our driveway! Mud was compacted over the drains - I cleared the top of the drain covers but they need clearing out properly before further wet weather adds to the problem.

  • Thank you for reporting a drainage or flooding issue.

We will investigate the issue. If additional clearance work is needed, the local highways team will prioritise the most urgent reports. Where possible, maintenance tasks will be grouped together in a schedule for efficiency.

Sometimes during periods of heavy rain, even a clear gully can be overwhelmed. Usually the water will drain away within an hour.

Every gully or drain the county council is responsible for is cleared at least once each year. Some drains in problem areas are cleared more frequently. You can find out more, including the gully emptying schedule on our website by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/road-maintenance

If your property is at risk of flooding please see the Flood Guide for advice and support by visiting www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/flood-risk-management/flooding-information/flood-guide

If you are driving: please never ignore road closures or enter flood water. This could put you or others in danger and invalidate your insurance.

We will provide updates about this report. Thank you again for taking the time to report this issue.
