Tree is sick

The leaves on this tree have already turned brown in august and many of them have fallen . There are brown leaves everywhere and its very dangerous. The tree looks sick. The branches also spill onto the road.

Thank you for your enquiry. Horse Chestnuts are non native trees thought to origin from Turkey which has different climates to us. Unfortunately they are subject to many pest and diseases which in this case is a fungal infection called 'Guignardia aesculi or Horse Chestnut leaf blotch which there is no treatment for. Typically the leaves look tattered as if early autumn has set in by later summer. Whilst it may appear dramatic, there is no evidence of long term harm to the tree.
