Grateful if, between you, you could advise on how the Hempsted Residents Association (HRA) can raise the issue of access across the NORTH bound carriage way, ie when travelling SOUTH, on Secunda Way, into the Bittern Apartments (Just SOUTH of Hempsted Car Wash).
It has been reported to us, that the 2 lanes of SOUTH Bound traffic, travelling at 40MPH, are reduced to one lane at exactly the point where traffic wishing to enter the Bittern Apartments is stationary awaiting NORTH bound traffic to cease so they can pass safely across the NORTH bound carriageway. The consequence of this is a high degree of risk of a rear shunt and (at 40MPH) fatal consequences.
The HRA would like to know who we can seek advice from to alert this issue to Highways, with view to better and safer traffic management.
Many thanks
