Blocked drains

Anfon at Oxfordshire County Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 6419900.

Using 'Fix-my-street', I reported the problem of the roadside gutter drains outside No 6 Witney Rd, Long Hanborough on Friday the 5th of July 2024.

The response from the Webpage programme advised me that my report was being investigated.

It would appear that no action has been taken to clear the blockages in these drains. Grass and vegetation are growing profusely out of the drains. Clearly the drains are completely blocked. This blockage is causing flooding across the main road when even moderate rain is experienced.

When it is reported that this area is vulnerable to surface water flooding, this situation is not acceptable. Please can action be taken to safeguard the homes along this stretch of road. Action must be also taken for the safety of pedestrians and drivers going through the water, especially when busy and spray from surface water limits visibility.
