Blocked drain causes flooding in road after heavy rainfall. Drain fills with leaves and debris from road gutters in Oakland Close that need sweeping. This should help prevent the drain blocking again in the near future.

    Thanks for the work done last week. Unfortunately the drain I reported as blocked wasn’t touched (picture above), although three others were cleared. Please can you return to clear this drain? It’s in front of the Oakland CLose sign, in front of the school. It will also be helpful to remove all the grass and vegetation cuttings left from the stimming work before it gets washed into the cleared drains. (Also in a picture, above). Many thanks.   • Thank you for reporting the flooding caused by blocked gullies. We are aware of the situation and have initiated a reactive gully cleaning to address the blockage.
