The footpath is damaged and dangerous between Peppard Road and Sedgefield close

Adroddwyd drwy desktop yn y categori Other yn ddienw am 11:23, Mer 31 Gorffennaf 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Anfon at Oxfordshire County Council a South Oxfordshire District Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 6297780.

The house immediately next to the path (on the left) has undergone a lot of building and restoration work over the past 3 years. The work has resulted in a ditch on the left side of the path and there is damage to the tarmac. The path is now very narrow and uneven and hardly usable by wheelchair users. The ditch on the left side presents a safety hazard as it is difficult for the wheelchair not to slide into it. The majority of St Michael’s parishioners are elderly and the chair of our Parish committee is a wheelchair user and the path creates many difficulties for people moving between the Church and the Church hall. The narrow path which now has a ditch on one side is hazardous and a health and safety concern. Therefore, I would like to ask you to carry out remedial works to ensure that the path is safe for wheelchair users and other pedestrians with pushchairs, strollers and zimmer frames.

  • While I agree that the house has undergone loads of works. The path itself was in a poor state when we moved to the area (woodlands rd) just up the hill from here in 2019. I agree, wheelchair access was never possible, and the roots from the plants on the church side have shifted the ground on the right side of the path

  • The house should tidy up and make safe the area to one side of the footpath with random loose bricks which could slip. Equally firth up the footpath is very narrow and uneven and a trip hazard to those walking along it.
