Tree has fallen down behind his property Res is disabled and is unable to check if it is across public foot path Res is also unable to check if any damage was made to his fence as well

  • Resident has phoned as despite numerous previous updates and being marked as fixed issue is still not resolved or fixed if that can be urgently please be looked at and someone sent out as been ongoing for number of months as damage has been caused to the fence and unable to fix until tree is removed

  • The tree officer has removed the debris from the fence as best she could so that you can assess any damage and make a claim if you chose. If you believe a Council-maintained tree is causing (or has caused) damage to your property, then you will need to complete a claim form. Bromley currently have a shared Insurance Service with Sutton Council. An online claim form can be completed and submitted via Sutton’s website: https://www.sutton.gov.uk/ info/ 200436/ customer_services/ 1146/ insurance_service/ 2

    Please carefully read the full extent of the information required when making a direct claim against the Council. You may also wish to contact your own homeowner’s insurance for advice and guidance. The Council again apologies on behalf of the tree contractors for this workmanship and their continual closing of this report. The tree officer now will close this report.
