The recently installed knee-high railings outside the Park Langley parade of shops are very much appreciated and look very nice. However the flower bed between 90 & 106 Wickham Road, BR3 is in much need of weeding & attention as looking neglected and an eye sore and so additional evergreen planting is needed (to add to the existing shrubs - not removed) such as flowering, wildlife friendly, easily managed shrubs i.e Photinia Red Robin, Yew, Escallonia, Viburnham, etc. Thanking you in advance and looking forward to a revamped flower bed for all to enjoy!

Apologies - I failed to place a marker at the location (it currently shows a marker further along Wickham Road). The overgrown/neglected flowerbed is actually close to the Chinese Garage roundabout and adjacent to the Park Langley parade of shops and slip road.

When this work is carried out, could I please reiterate (as per my original FixMyStreet post) that to please leave the existing established shrubs and tree. I say this because when the operatives cleared and replanted a nearby flowerbed, a lovely established Rhus Typhiba Stags Horn shrub (also known as the Tree of Life) was completely chopped down. There are perfectly good existing shrubs in the flower bed I refer to for birds, bees and insects and so just need the grasses, weeds, rubbish, etc removed. There are also one or two tree trunks which should be left for insects. Thanking you in advance for your consideration.

This roadside flowerbed alongside Wickham Road, adjacent to the parade of Park Langley shops has been neglected for a very long lime. It really wouldn’t take much time and effort to remove the weeds and long grasses, leave the existing shrubs including the lovely old tree stump and to just introduce 3 or 4 appropriate (easy to manage) shrubs (as mentioned in my original post). It looks absolutely shocking in a busy area with a high footfall to the parade of shops, the cafés and the entrance to Kelsey Park. As already mentioned, I have inadvertently placed the marker in the wrong place as the flowerbed is close to the Chinese Garage roundabout end of Wickham Road.
