Used needle in alleyway

There is a used hypodermic syringe in the alleyway at the back of the garages. It seems to have some dark brown-black substance in it still. This doesn't seem like a safe thing to leave around but I didn't want to risk picking it up. The alleyway is a known place for drug users and there may be more in the undergrowth.

The alley is the lane at the back of the garages directly opposite 6 pearl place cf241he (please note that this is pearl place, not pearl street as they are next to each other and even the postman gets confused!). The needle is outside of the blue wooden garage doors.
