Sand park need maintenance. Weeding, new sand, broken bench, water play not working, graffiti

Sand and water park need general maintenance, the sand is over run by weeds and plants, the water play doesn’t work and the box has been broken which is hazardous to children. The drain is blocked and grate is missing also hazardous to children. The sand needs renewing, it could be a lovely park but it is unsafe and unclean for the children to play in. The bench is broken at both ends and the picnic tables are covered in graffiti. Generally needs a lot of love and a good tidy up!

Some work has obviously been started on this park, a new piece on the bench and the wooden box under the water spout. I am concerned that the drain has been cleaned out of sand and left with no cover. The water has been on (is stuck on actually) and there was at least a foot of water covering this, this was on the weekend and I assume there is no drainage there? Maybe you are waiting for a part but this should be covered, a child could serious hurt themselves and I would say it is even a drowning hazard! The trees have also been cut and big branches left all over the grass, leaving young families to move them in order to play on the grass, more care and attention is needed otherwise the council may find themselves in a worse position if someone is hurt! I was told that there was up to 10 people working on this site and i can say you are most definitely not getting your moneys worth! Still needs weeding, new sand, bench cleaned of graffiti! The other Grounds Maintenance issues here for weeding & graffiti have been added to the schedule and will be attended to as soon as possible.

This playground needs serious attention, the water is constantly running and needs to be turned off immediately due to flooding and mess it is creating. You can see in the centre there is a foot of water that my child nearly stepped into. The water is also so dirty due to fact there is no drainage and the water is permanently running.

Still a complete mess. You might as well shut this park and no one can use it. Lovely day yesterday and park was empty, residence worried about safety of children. Drain still uncovered!!! So dangerous!!! What was the point in someone cleaning it out and then leaving it to get filled up again with dirt, what a waste of tax payers money. Not enough has been done in the last 2 months since I first reported this to make this park usable for families in the area. With children’s activities over the summer so expensive families needing safe play spaces.

Missing cover has been located and reported at FixMyStreet ref: 6424725, but that report got closed with an excuse that it's Environment Agency's job. Both metal drain cover and several road cones previously used as a temporary cover of the drain in the playground are still in the nearby river.
