ACCIDENT OCCURRED This footway already has built-in obstructions , for good reason; bollards, central gutter. This leaves enough space for pedestrians to pass safely and allow for street signs. The hairdressers signage however is frequently placed so far away from the building it shuts down one half of the footway preventing safe passage for pedestrians. I witnessed a woman who twisted her ankle having to walk into the central gutter as she was unable to cross to the other side of this footway as someone was walking there. The images show a typical pedestrian issue. The staff here have verbally abused pedestrians for moving their sign towards the building to safely continue their journey. I suspect the hairdresser pays for using such a sign but please uphold the safety of the pedestrians by making sure the sign is placed touching the building, not in the middle of this lane of that footway.

A week after this accident was reported the hairdressing salon put these 2 large planters outside, putting the obstructive signage permanently close to the centre of the footway
