Driving along the A435 at Bishops Cleve, heading towards Evesham, today the 28th May at 12:09, outside a small building site, there is a large sunken drain that felt on impact, felt like a loud bang as the car hit the hole at approximately 45-50mph. The sunken drain has left quite a deep hole and I think this is not only dangerous to other motorists but also cyclists and motorcyclists, as could result in the rider coming off their bike. I attempted to avoid the sunken drain but this wasn’t possible due to on coming traffic and parked builders vans straddling the pavement and the road adjacent to the sunken drain.

The photo's attached show the sunken drain, which is just before "Stollards Close" , with Stollards Close being on the left, heading towards Evesham. I believe this would be what three words location close to the problem is "smiled.behind.banana".

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
