Can ride a horse down a lovely quiet Southmead lane, but where the track splits near the end signage says 'no public right of way' to house ahead which I understand but another says 'no public right of way to Beech Holiday Cottages' which is needed to link up to a bridleway to allow an unencumbered route rather than a one way ride on a bridleway further up off the main Calf Way road, into woods that ends at Beech Cottages. It doesn't make sense at all ... was this small section of track originally open to horse riders? No rider wants to go up and back. With access allowed across from the track on Southmead Lane to the existing bridleway, it would make for an enjoyable hacking route off main roads and would be supported by more local riders.
