So far this year two small areas of the Leafield greens have been cut last week. Why have the majority of the greens still to be cut? The grass is about 8 inches long!!!!

  • Thank you for your inquiry. Oxfordshire County Council, as the Highway Authority, is ultimately responsible for the maintenance of grass verges alongside the carriageway network throughout Oxfordshire (excluding motorways and trunk roads). Under our new approach, all roadside verges in both rural and urban areas are cut once a year. If necessary, we will trim areas that impede driver visibility more regularly.
