Pavement has crumbled away

Adroddwyd drwy mobile yn y categori Footways and Pavement damage yn ddienw am 13:06, Sad 13 Ebrill 2024 using FixMyStreet Pro

Anfon at Oxfordshire County Council llai na munud yn hwyrach. Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 5847253.

The pavement outside my property has completely crumbled away. It is a dangerous hazard. There have been two accidents recently where an elderly resident tripped up over the uneven surface and a child fell off their bike for the same reason.

The issue has been there a while, but due the recent inclement weather has become worse and is a dangerous hazard.

  • Path is awful and only getting worse. Extremely dangerous for anyone, especially the elderly or wheelchair users. Will cause accidents if not fixed

  • The pavement outside number 13 is awful. It’s a huge trip hazard and I can’t believe the Highways Agency haven’t fixed it yet!

  • I understand a Cat 3 slurry seal, has been raised for the footway.

However, in the meantime , another elderly resident has fallen over the loose tarmac and injured herself.

The slurry seal repairs are urgent.

  • It’s been 4 months since the area was marked with a yellow line to indicate where the repairs will take place. The drop kerb has now completely crumbled away is a hazard for pedestrians.

  • A further accident with a child falling over the crumbling dropped kerb and cutting both her hands and knees.

I have spoken to the Oxfordshire Highways Agency and again been promised ‘someone’ would look into this. The yellow markings were sprayed 6 months ago - and still nothing

  • I have spoken to the Highways Agency every month. It has been over a year since this incident has been reported. The crumbled drop kerb does not allow access for disabled persons to cross in wheel chairs as there is no support.

Numerous accidents have happened in the past 12 months and still no repair
