The trenches have been present for some time and getting worse. They were created by works in the road for power or otherwise some time ago but never filled properly , a common theme for this type of work in the road. They are becoming a nuisance for cars, which may lead to tracking adjustments being necessary, but a more serious risk for cyclists especially in the dark.

Looks like 1 resolved but the one further from the lights is still an issue When these trenches are dug by utilities they should be filled properly and subject to an N year immediate fix by them when they don’t last. Kempshott lane and buckskin lane are littered with these trenches due to all the recent housing work etc.
