At junction of Jewel road and Hoe street, and all along Hoe street from Bell Corner down to Queen’s Road area Palestinian Flags have been attached to lamp posts

My husband (who is Jewish) lost a close friend to Hamas terrorists entering Israel on 7 Oct. This was upsetting enough but since then our friends have treated us as though we are pariahs and we constantly see and hear anti-Israeli / anti-Jewish vitriol in our neighbourhood (eg opposite our kids’ school someone had posted in their window “one holocaust doesn’t justify another” - which is obviously really offensive to him since he lost a grandfather in the holocaust) and our mental health has deteriorated significantly. Now on our way to work along Hoe Street we are confronted with Palestinian flags along the entirety of Hoe Street. No such support was shown to him when he was grieving and feeling like he had nowhere to call home. Lamp posts are council property and should not be allowed to be used to support one side or other in a conflicts in another part of the world (which my husband has left to try and start a new life in tolerant multicultural pluralist Britain)
