A pothole in road problem

Adroddwyd yn y categori A pothole in road am Gloucestershire County Council

Cyfeirnod FixMyStreet: 5620364.

email rec 13/02/2024 - Hello.
Our road was repaired about a month ago for the 2nd if not 3rd time.
It is breaking up again, tarmac bits all over the road and pavements. The whole is appearing again.
It needs to be done with the hot tar as it must be costing a fortune to keep repairing it. Cost of at least 6 men , closing road plus the tar.
Not to mention the mess it is making in our cars and homes treading in tar bits.
The road again is becoming noisey , and could cause accidents if anyone skids on it. Especially motorbikes.
Please can it be sorted ASAP but the old way.
Thanks

  • Thank you for reporting a pothole.

First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.

In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.

We will provide updates about this report.
