Firstly I just want to express my thanks for the improvements made to the path further up towards the Mead Road end, with tarmac installed. As regular users of the path this has been a gamechanger! However, it is something of an incomplete job as it doesn't result in a complete route and there are other points on the path, particularly the point indicated, that become regularly waterlogged and almost impassable at times (this is a year-round problem but particularly bad in the winter). Many people avoid using this path after rainfall and the improvements made recently, though very welcome, do not address this as it doesn't join up the Mead Road to Southcourt Close / Drive / Leckhampton Road. It would be hugely valued I'm sure by the community to complete similar improvements at least to the end of Southcourt Close at the point indicated - this would result in a reliably usable path connecting Leckhampton Road / Southcourt Drive and Close to Mead Road which is used by many people to access the industrial estate and Naunton Park / Naunton Park School. This can also be part of a walking / cycling route from Leckhampton into town and would help encourage use of sustainable transport.
